When you get sick, you shouldn’t have to wait for an appointment. You want to GETWELL today. That’s why we are offering GETWELL appointments with quick access to care. To help you find information about GETWELL easily, please refer to the questions below.

Scheduling a GETWELL appointment is quick and simple. You can text GETWELL to the number 24587 and within minutes, you will have an appointment with a primary care or specialist provider. Or, you can call 1-844-7-GETWELL (1-844-7-438-9355) to get an appointment with a primary care or specialist provider. GETWELL gives you access for same day or quick appointments. And, we also offer weekend appointments through our Primary Care Weekend locations in Latrobe and North Huntingdon.

A GETWELL appointment is for illness and injuries such as:

  • Coughs, colds, flu
  • Upper respiratory ailments
  • Sprains, strains, broken bones
  • Pink eye
  • Seasonal allergies, asthma
  • Fever, sore throat
...and many other non-life threatening illness and injury.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening illness or injury, such as chest pain, coughing or vomiting blood, difficulty breathing, severe headache or any other serious health issue, go to the nearest emergency department or call 9-1-1.

You can always call or text for a GETWELL appointment. Our GETWELL scheduling Center is open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are calling or texting after hours, you will get a response the next business day to schedule your appointment, however, there may be a few exceptions due to time of day.

We can help you schedule a GETWELL appointment with either a primary care or specialty provider based on your need. Excela Health offers appointments for specialties such as heart care, OB/GYN, gastroenterology (GI), general surgery and orthopedics, among others.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening illness or injury, such as chest pain, coughing or vomiting blood, difficulty breathing, severe headache or any other serious health issue, go to the nearest emergency department or call 9-1-1. A GETWELL appointment is for illness and injuries such as coughs, colds, and other upper respiratory ailments, sprains, strains, pink eye, seasonal allergies and more, similar issues that are non-life threatening.

Excela Health accepts all major insurances including UPMC Health Plan and Highmark. When it comes to health insurance, our policy is to accept yours. Excela Health is also an accredited provider of service for Medicare and Medicaid patients.
