Crisis walk-in services are available at Excela’s Crisis Response Center, located at the corner of Depot and West Pittsburgh Street on the Westmoreland Hospital campus, Greensburg. Trained crisis staff are available to assist from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Just walk in or call 724-832-4465. Staff provide an immediate, short-term response and referral to appropriate behavioral health services in the community. Additionally, the emergency department at any Excela Health hospital campus is ready to address behavioral health emergencies 24 hours a day.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage the use of the Crisis Response Center to limit exposure. Additional safety measures are being utilized to keep patients and staff safe, including safety screenings on each person entering the building, enhanced cleaning between each patient and following social distancing guidelines.

The Westmoreland County Crisis Hotline operates 365 days a year and is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Trained counselors assist persons in crisis, responding to a variety of calls ranging from depression, suicide, and other mental health issues to financial issues. The hotline crisis counselors also assist mental health consumers, their families, and concerned citizens with community resources and support.

If anyone is seeking non-emergent Behavioral Health services, we have adapted to the changing needs of our environment. Telehealth capabilities are now offered for new patients. Patients can get medications, connect with their therapists and doctors regularly, and new patients are welcome. If an individual is seeking services and is looking for telehealth specifically, we can help them in determining what “platform” would work best. We are set up for Facetime, Google Duo, and WebEx. Additionally, we can provide services via telephone for our established patients. We help individuals by talking to them about what technology they have available, what kind of private space they have, and a time of day that would allow them to have privacy during their sessions. If you or someone you know is interested Outpatient Behavioral Health services please call our office at 724-832-4450.
