I am a native of the state of Indiana but I've lived in the Latrobe area for well over a
decade and have spent the past several years at Saltsburg Family Medicine.
Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IN
Residency: Excela Health Latrobe Family Medicine, Latrobe, PA

When I started looking for residencies in family medicine, it was important to me that the residency be invested in the education, well-being, and growth of their residents. I wanted a program that was engaged in the community and the local area and who viewed each other as, and encouraged the feeling of, "family."

Megan Cunningham Grandalski, DOMegan Cunningham Grandalski, DO
    Resident Physician
From my very first day, every resident and preceptor made me feel like I was an integral part of the team. Feedback and advice were readily given, and I could tell that I was surrounded by great people who were not only passionate about teaching and practicing medicine, but who were also invested in making me the best doctor I could be.

    Alan McGaughran, MD
    Attending Physician
I came to Latrobe Hospital and the Residency program in 1998 after five years in a private practice, some ER work and prior to that, a 3 year stint in the Air Force Medical Corp. I have been at Saltsburg Family Practice since 2005. I was involved in the development of and now ongoing supervision of the minor surgery/procedures clinic, which gives the residents more practical experience with minor surgery in their third year. My office patient population tends to be medically complex older adults, though I do enjoy dealing with musculoskeletal and dermatologic issues in particular.
Medical School: Penn State University College of Medicine, Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA
Residency: Saint Vincent Health Center, Erie, PA

    Alexander Porter, DOAlexander Porter, DO
    Resident Physician
The residency program at Latrobe provides me the opportunity to further pursue my interests in family medicine: sports medicine, caring for a rural population, point of care ultrasound, medical assisted treatment, and osteopathic manipulation treatment.

    Indiana Judy, DOIndiana Judy, DO
    Resident Physician
I am from a small town and my passion is rural family medicine; because Latrobe is an unopposed residency with multiple clinic options, I am able to experience my passion during my training. I love having the opportunity to give back to a community that reminds me so much of home, as it will be mine over the next few years.
