Mental Health Crisis Intervention Hotline:

Those experiencing a crisis, or know someone who is, can call the number below for help.


The Westmoreland County Crisis Hotline operates 365 days a year and is answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Trained counselors assist persons in crisis, responding to a variety of calls ranging from depression, suicide, and other mental health issues to financial issues. The hotline crisis counselors also assist mental health consumers, their family, and concerned citizens with community resources and support.

Crisis walk-in services are available at Excela’s Crisis Response Center, located at the corner of Depot and West Pittsburgh Street on the Westmoreland Hospital campus, Greensburg. Trained crisis staff are available to assist from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Just walk in or call 724-832-4465. Staff provide an immediate, short-term response and referral to appropriate behavioral health services in the community.

Additionally, the emergency department at any Excela Health hospital campus is ready to address behavioral health emergencies 24 hours a day.
