Outpatient Rehabilitation at Norwin

Outpatient Rehabilitation at Excela Square at Norwin, North Huntingdon, offers both physical and occupational therapies in addition to concussion therapy, orthopedic and sports therapy, hand therapy, and dizziness/balance therapies. Our certified hand therapists, along with our occupational therapists, help you improve hand function; balance/dizziness uses balance, flexibility, strength and conditioning exercises among other therapies. Concussion therapy aids in recovery for those diagnosed with a concussion.

Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Occupational therapy hours: Tuesday -Thursday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Our Staff

Beth Lininger, MPT
Beth Lininger, MPT, is a physical therapist at Excela Square at Norwin. She graduated from Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pa., with a degree in biology and went on to receive her master's degree from the Drexel University Medical College of Pennsylvania in physical therapy. Her treatment approach is to design specific plans tailored to the needs of each individual patient.

Timothy Meszar, BA CIS, MSPT, DPT
Timothy Meszar, BA, CIS, MSPT, DPT, is a physical therapist at Excela Square at Norwin. He received both his master’s and doctorate degrees from Chatham University, Pittsburgh, Pa, in physical therapy with special courses in joint/spinal mobilization and shoulder rehabilitation. His philosophy of care is to provide quality care to address patient needs, limitations, and concerns. Keeping busy, Meszar serves as an adjunct professor at Seton Hill University as well as at Chatham University in the DPT Program.

Rodney Rager, MPT
Rodney Rager, MPT, is a physical therapist at Excela Square at Norwin. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, he went on to receive his MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his MPT from the University of Pittsburgh. Dedicated to providing the best care possible to all his patients, he uses evidence-based practice techniques to treat every individual with the respect, dignity and professional demeanor they deserve. Rager enjoys travel, art and literature.

Nicole Byers, PT, DPT
Nicole Byers, PT, is a physical therapist at Excela Square at Norwin. She received her doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. She has 15 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. Her goal is addressing patient specific concerns, providing patients with the tools they need to achieve their personal best level of function. When not at work she enjoys staying active with family and friends.

Jason Apel, PTA
Jason Apel, PTA, is a physical therapist assistant with Excela Square at Norwin. He received his degree from Penn State Fayette- The Eberly Campus. His specialties include being a hawk grips level one practitioner. His goal with patients is to help them achieve their goals by establishing a home exercise program for continued success. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs and also attending jeep related events.

Heidimarie Ross, OTR/L, CHT
Heidimarie Ross, OTR/L, CHT, is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist at Excela Health Outpatient Rehabilitation in Medical Commons Two, 540 South Street, Greensburg and Excela Square at Norwin. She is a graduate of Towson State University, Towson, Md., and is certified in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. She strives to help patients achieve independence in all activities of daily living.
