Lauren E. Trimeloni, MD

Excela Health Medical Group Provider

Philosophy of Care

I was drawn to medicine at an early age out of an attraction to the idea of helping people live the healthiest lives that they can. As I have practiced in this field, I have learned that although medical treatments and interventions can be very helpful, healthy choices and stress management often play the more important role in maintaining health. I love to spend time with people and helping them learn ways to keep their body healthier, or to heal from injuries they have undergone. I have been blessed to practice the full scope of family medicine, from obstetrical care to pediatrics to geriatrics, and I enjoy watching families grow through the years as I partner with them to maintain optimal health.

Dr. Trimeloni saw me after laboring with a patient all night. she was still on top of her game, compassionate, very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns. she's a wonderful doctor. finally found a good fit after living in Latrobe for over 25 years!

Dr. Trimeloni is the best doctor I've ever seen. She treats me like a person worthy of respect, and does not talk down to me the way many other doctors do. She's kind, knowlegeable and funny as well. I'm able to talk to her about difficult problems that I would not be comfortable discussing with anyone else. She is also the only doctor I've met in the area that is knowledgeable about breastfeeding to natural term. Most other doctors I've met have been downright nasty about breastfeeding a toddler, but Dr. Trimeloni understands the importance of it and is supportive. I am so grateful that she works locally and can be my PCP.
