The Heart Program (ICU, Cath Lab, Heart Center, PCU, SDU)
Performs specialized functions related to cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. Assists with radiology, nuclear medicine and stress echocardiology procedures that require a nursing component.

Orthopedics (Inpatient and Rehab)
This unit focuses on Orthopedic “Joint Replacement” specializing in shoulder, hip, and knee replacement. The nursing staff is an integral part of the “Joint Works Educational Program” which guides our patients through pre-operative preparation to admission, surgery and follow-up with excellent continuity of care.

Medical/Surgical (stroke, neurologic, surgical, etc.)
Med/Surg nurse provides care for a variety of patients from care before and after surgery and medical procedures to general medical problems.

Psychiatric/Behavioral Health (inpatient and outpatient – adults and children)
Plans, organizes and conducts therapeutic interventions for assigned caseload in inpatient or outpatient environment. Emphasizes short term cognitive/behavioral approaches to effect social/emotional adjustment or address behavioral disorders; provides emergency behavioral health services to adults and/or children.

The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care for the patient.

Emergency Departments
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care for a designated group of patients. Coordinates, directs and actively participates as an effective member of the interdisciplinary health care team, contributing to the efficient operation of the unit and promoting positive patient outcomes.

Home Health
The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care for a designated group of patients in their home. The RN coordinates, directs and promotes positive patient outcomes, and contributes to efficient agency operation.

Hospice
The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care for a designated group of patients in their home. In addition, the Hospice RN provides palliative care and support to terminally ill patients and their families.

Excela Health is requiring all new hires to submit proof of vaccination with one of the three authorized COVID-19 vaccines. New hires after January 11, 2022 but prior to February 28, 2022 must have had at least their first vaccine and agree to provide proof of their second vaccine within 45 days (Pfizer or Moderna). As of February 28, 2022 new hires must be fully vaccinated upon date of hire or be approved for a medical or religious exemption before beginning employment. Full vaccination is a condition of employment that applies to all of Excela Health team members for both COVID 19 and flu vaccines.
