Meet our team

The bariatric surgery team at Excela Health is committed to providing you with the best resources to achieve successful weight loss. During your weight loss journey, our multidisciplinary team of surgeons, nurses, exercise physiologists, registered dietitians and psychologists will be available to help you every step of the way.

Starting with your first visit, our team will help identify obstacles that may hamper your ability to achieve your optimal weight. They'll work with you to set realistic goals, provide you with the tools to be successful and give you the encouragement and support you need.

Our Surgeons
 

Mark A. Zelkovic, MD, FACS
Dr. Zelkovic is a board certified general surgeon and bariatric surgeon. He attended medical school at the Jefferson Medical College of the Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. He completed a surgical internship and residency at Healtheast Teaching Hospitals, Lehigh Valley Hospitals, Allentown, Pa. He received additional training in laparoscopic adjustable role="presentation" banding at New York University and completed a preceptorship in laparoscopic bariatrics at St. Margaret’s Hospital, Pittsburgh.

 

 

James J.Longhi, DO, FACS
Dr. Longhi is board certified in general surgery and is a bariatric surgeon. He attended medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, W. Va. He completed an osteopathic internship and a general surgery residency at the West Virginia University Hospital.
