Pulmonary Rehabilitation

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation program at Excela Health is designed to improve the health and quality of life for patients with lung and vascular disease. The multidisciplinary program focuses on the highest level of pulmonary fitness possible, as well as education, nutrition counseling, support and more. A comprehensive review of your medical, dietary, social and psychological concerns leads the way toward plotting the best course of treatment for you.

Who Benefits from Pulmonary Rehabilitation?

Those benefitting from the program are those with:

  • Emphysema
  • Chronic bronchitis
  • Asthma
  • Other lung diseases

The supervised, eight- to 12-week program includes:

  • Education
  • Exercise

The program helps to improve muscles, the ability to exercise, and can increase activities of daily living. While we understand the difficulties of exercise for some, we also recognize the importance of exercise to make those improvements.
