Accreditation is another indicator that can be used to judge quality. Accreditation is a "seal of approval" given by a private, independent group. Health care organizations---such as hospitals---must meet national standards, including clinical performance measures, in order to be accredited. Excela Health is accredited by The Joint Commission.

ACE is committed to helping facilities provide gold standard health care by measuring the organization's structure, internal processes, patient safety practices, and clinical outcomes against nationally accepted, best practice standards. To date, only five health health care providers nationwide, including Excela Health, have earned the distinction, which is expected to become the Good Housekeeping Seal for medical centers that specialize in opening clogged practice heart arteries.
