Excela Health and Westmoreland Mall have partnered to create the original INDOOR Mall Walkers Program.  Now in its sixth year, walkers in this program meet the fourth Thursday of each month (except December), 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the Food Court, upper level, Westmoreland Mall, U.S. Route 30, Greensburg for:

  • Continental breakfast
  • Health screenings
  • Door prize drawings
  • Informational tables featuring our community partners including personal care homes, nursing homes, and others
  • Educational, health-related presentation

And, of course, you’ll want to get walking throughout the mall after the fun and every day of the week for the maximum health benefit!  A non-competitive walking program, “Mall Walkers” provides members with an array of activities and benefits, plus, it’s a great way to meet new friends and keep active!

Missed the February meeting?  Here's What Happened!

This month, registered mall walkers received their official Mall Walkers t-shirt.  The crowd of nearly 400 heard a testimonial from Mark Marshall, a wrestling coach who was "taken down" by a heart attack.  After Excela Health's Dr. Mark Suzuki and cardiothoracic surgical team "went to the mat" for him, performing triple bypass, Marshall was cleared to coach and resume personal training for another USA Wrestling competition after just three weeks.  Dr. Suzuki also talked about heart disease risk factors and fielded questions from the audience.   Participants also received a recipe and exercise information to continue on a healthy path in 2018.  See you next month!
