When hand function is compromised by a traumatic injury or when a chronic condition of the hand requires surgical or non-surgical intervention, hand therapy may be needed to help regain maximum use.
Hand therapy is a specialized area of practice in the realm of occupational and physical therapy. A certified hand therapist (CHT) is an experienced occupational or physical therapist with a concentration in treating conditions of the arm and hand who has passed a national certification examination. The hand therapy program at Barclay Rehabilitation is staffed by certified hand therapists and occupational therapists.

The Barclay Rehabilitation Hand Therapy program treats adults and children with hand injuries and related shoulder, elbow and wrist problems. Common conditions treated include
