Adult Inpatient Services

Many of us believe that mental illness happens to others and may deny warning signs due to the stigma attached to such a diagnosis or unclear causes. On the Westmoreland Hospital campus, the hallmarks of adult inpatient care are compassion and understanding.

Inpatient care at Westmoreland features a 32-bed psychiatric adult unit providing a safe, supportive treatment environment designed to meet the needs of patients in psychiatric crisis.

The goal of this adult unit is to provide the least restrictive care possible, restoring patients to a productive level of functioning and collaborating with other referral sources. The unit offers a full range of services for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment.
