Marc L. Costa, MD, General and Bariatric Surgery, board certified

     - Graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia
     - Completed a surgical residency at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, where he received multiple awards for  Excellence in Resident Teaching as well as the Ravitch Award for Clinical Research from the American College of Surgeons.
     - Training in laparoscopic bariatric surgery, St. Margaret's Hospital, Pittsburgh
     - Proctorship, lap band procedure, New York University

He served on the medical staff of St. Joseph's Hospital and Camden Clark Memorial Hospital, both in Parkersburg, West Va., prior to joining Excela Health.   Currently, he is the chairman, Department of Surgery, for Excela Health.  He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an affiliate member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery.
