Recently, all emergency departments were renovated, reconfiguring space to accommodate patient and staff flow, adding new technologies, and instituting best practices.
Reasons to Seek Emergency Care
In some instances, waiting to seek care can be devastating, even fatal. According to the American College of Emergency Physicians, symptoms that can’t wait for treatment include:
• Chest pain or pressure
• Uncontrolled bleeding
• Coughing or vomiting blood
• Sudden or severe pain
• Major injuries, such as broken bones
• Sudden facial drooping or weakness in an arm or leg
For these symptoms or any health problem you believe is life threatening, call 9-1-1 or get to the nearest emergency room.
