Over a century ago, Westmoreland Hospital opened its doors to a community in need of medical care and thus began a “healthy” partnership that has not only endured, but flourished.

Today, Westmoreland, with 364 licensed beds, provides a full range of acute care services while serving as a regional referral center, caring for friends, neighbors, family members and others. Located here is the Family Additions Maternity Center, offering maternity care in a home-like atmosphere; Behavioral Health Services featuring an adult inpatient unit with outpatient services for adults and children, and serves as the home to the interventional Heart Center.

Additionally, the hospital houses a breast health center; extensive outpatient services including the Short Stay Surgery unit; diabetes services and endocrine clinic; digestive disorders center; a full complement of imaging services including an upgrade to the interventional radiology suite; a bariatric surgery center; a large critical care unit with an intensivist program (offering 24 hour a day, in-house physician specialist coverage in the critical care areas), and emergency care. A pastoral services component tends to the emotional and spiritual needs of our patients, their families, and staff while a vibrant volunteer services program helps with the day-to-day tasks that allow the hospital to run smoothly.

Recently, Westmoreland added to its wound care capabilities with the reconfiguration of services as well as new treatments. Called Excela Advanced Wound Center, the center added hyperbaric oxygen treatment and offers other treatments including topical skin care, wound dressings, skin substitutes and medications.
