Excela Health provides a comprehensive orientation program to assist the graduate nurse with their transition into their new nursing role. A week long nursing orientation is provided to education graduate nurses on Excela Health nursing policies and procedures. A preceptor is assigned to each graduate nurse for guidance and support through the orientation period. Graduate Nurse Mondays provide graduate nurses the opportunity to network with their peers across the system. A NCLEX review provides time for the graduate nurse to prepare for their board exam.

Nurse Residency Program
Excela Health offers a Nurse Residency Program, a two-year intense program that progresses through four phases: orientation; interactive classroom education; independent, self-directed learning, and continued support through one-on-one mentoring.
The residency curriculum focuses on professional development and includes ongoing clinical education, enhancement of critical thinking, teaching skills, and social networking.
